  1. Life is a different game altogether. The chief characteristics of life are pleasure and pain. They are part and parcel of it. But stress has also become an inseparable part of life these days. Tension is the prime cause of stress, which arises out to respond uncontrollable pressures from work and unfulfilled demands from domestic arena. Moreover, self-imposed demands and obligations play a great role in generating stress leading to psychological disturbances, anxiety, anger, insomnia, alcoholisms and even death to a greater extent.

Understanding the very nature, accepting, adapting and controlling the demands arising out of different sources to lead a balanced life is the key to lessen stress to a certain extent. Indeed, yoga and spiritual lessons help bring a peaceful life too.

Happiness is a relative term. It is full of puzzles to comment on whether our life is happier than our ancestors or not. Our lifestyle has completely changed. Thanks to the modern science which is the prime mover of our society and to define the degree of our happiness. With the advancement of science every day, the lifestyle is entirely changing, making us more comfort-hungry, lazy and mechanical in accomplishing each and every activities pertaining to our life.

If even our forefathers wake up from their eternal sleep now, they will be no less puzzled than us to state whether they were happier than us or not. Hence, in a word, it can be said that nobody is happier – neither we nor our forefathers. Rather they were happy in their olden times and we are happy in our present time.
