Shame to South Africa Govt.

It is very sad to hear that about 36 miners have been killed and more than 78 miners are injured by the South African police when they fired on a mob of thousands who were gathered in support of their demand for hike in their salary. The miners of Lonmin platinum mine of Makrana were demanding three-fold rise in their salary.

This incident reminds the era of apartheid in the South Africa.

How long we have to wait so that a single drop of blood will not be shed by the rulers using brutal force?

Let the soul of all dead miners be rest in peace and the kith and kin of the deceased be compensated suitably by the Govt. of South Africa.

Hiroshima Vs Curiosity: Two sides of defeat and success

On this day i.e on 6th August 1942, America destroyed Hiroshima of Japan with Nuclear bomb killing more than one lakh people. This was the black day for humanity and misuse of power. Today also is the glorious day for mankind because on this day the Curiosity rover has touched the soil of Mars. Its a huge achievement of science and technology, an 8 1/2 months journey of Curiosity at last has become successful.

We deeply mourn the deaths of human beings at Hiroshima and pray that such brutal things do not happen again.

Also congratulations to the scientists and engineers of NASA for their success.

Darjeeling: A New Hope

Today the elected members will take oath to form Gorkha Teritorrial administration(GTA) at Darjeeling in presence of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Central Home Minister Shri Sushil Kr. Shindhe, Hon'ble Governor of West Bengal and other high functioneries of West Bengal Govt. It is the historic day for Darjeeling as well as for West Bengal. After decades of turmoil and violent movements, it is expected that peace will prevail here with lot of development works.

Darjeeling is called 'Queen of hills' but it lost its glory and sheen due to tumultuous situation for a very long time. Its a very beautiful place to visit for its scenic beauty and Kanchanjungha. It has a great heritage and also famous for its toy train which has been declared as world heritage by UNESCO. Also world's highest altitude railway station is situated here at GHUM.

Therefore great expectation and hope have grown and created amongst the hill people and it is certain that its past glory will be regained with the influx of tourists from inside and abroad.

The chief minister Ms Mamata Banerjee must be given credit for her tireless endeavour to bring peace and tranquillity in Darjeeling.

For visiting purpose, West Bengal Tourism Dept. may be contacted.

Where we are going?

We all agree when millions of millions pounds are being spent in Commonwealth Games but do you support spending of billions of dollars for war in different parts of the world. One great man of India, MK Gandhi taught us of Non-violence, although who himself consecrated his life in the hand terrorism/fanaticism.

Democratic process with practice of non-violence is the only answer perhaps for this turbulent world. Leo Tolstoy, Abraham Lincon, Roman Rolland are some the great humanists who preached this philosophy.

Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore wrote a poem 'Africa' which depicted this philosophy in its in true sense.

Where we are going?

Karl Marx and Capitalism

Karl Marx, the great philosopher and who had propagated the theory of Communism, long ago predicted the crisis of Capitalism in his famous book 'Das Capital'. Presently the crisis of Capitalism has become omnipresent, so the problem to be looked into following his theory on Capitalist economy which is based upon profit, profit and more profit. Thus, bringing hardship to millions of people. It would be prudent not to shun his theory but to study more and more.

Today we are more cocern about market economy which cannot be accepted because market cannot grow with out the improvement of the conditions of the poors.
