Judiciary: A delay process

Recently I had to attend Calcutta High Court to follow up a few cases. But my experience is very frustrating. A lot of black gown donned people are running here and there, most of them are called as Juniors. It is a horrible experience for a common people like me on the process of settling cases. On any case, a lot of lawyers who fight for their client(s) most of them remains incomplete either adjourned by the Judge or by the mutual adjutment of them. This process continue day after day from the Lower Court (Single Bench) to Division Bench to the Supreme Court. Sometimes it feels like an endless process. Therefore the Judiciary needs a whole reformation to make it more flexible to cater the need of the people who requires it more. I do not how long it will take in this country. Still, it is the positive side that some people at least get justice in the fight against the mighty and rich.

SAVE THE MANKIND

It is our fate that we could not stand firm on the decisions we take. We will be held responsible by the coming geneartion if we fail to fulfill our tryst towards bulding up of a pollution  free environment through out the world. All conscious people are eagerly waiting to the decision to be taken by the world leaders in Copenhagen. We expect that the leaders shall show their good side of the mind in order to save the humankind. It will be very unfortunate if we fail to reach the target. USA, UK, CHINA and INDIA together can make the things happen.

Best wishes COPENHAGEN!!

Media: A Strong Weapon of Modern Times

In today's world media both print and television have become so strong that everything is under its scanner. Any small thing that is happening in the world every moment is being transmitted to the public through television as Breaking News. This has bad effect and good effect too. Rulers of the countries always try to suppress the media to keep their misdeeds under the carpet. But the role of a responsible media is to unearth it. Sometimes the reporters are faced with serious consequences. In spite of all the odds, the journalists try to unveil the truth of the events creating public awareness. Sometimes the result is very good and there are a number of instances when the miscreants became compelled to resign or faced legal proceedings. Although it is also true that the media barons worked for any articular group or politicians causing hardship to general people.

FUEL CRISIS

Fuel viz. petrol, diesel, coal, kerosene which we get naturally are being depleted day by day causing grave concern for the survival of the mankind. All of us know that without the fuel we cannot exist even for a moment. Therefore, everybody should earnestly try to save fuel and use solar energy and other alternative sources for daily living. Like wise we may use solar energy for cooking, illuminate street lights and may warm water etc., we can use bicycle instead of car and other vehicles those are dependent on petrol, diesel etc. Moreover we should also encourage the poors to use biogas in place of wood and kerosene. This will act as a great effort to help protect the trees saving the forests which have significant contribution for preservation of our environment and make it pollution free.

Climate Change: A Global Problem

Climate change has become a grave concern for the very existence of our civilisation. For years after years we have bothered little about the change in weather. It's a great pity that the world leaders did least care for it. But nowadays a silver lining of hope is being seen in the horizon. World leaders have become very much conscious of it. Both the developed and developing countries are working in tandem to stop the polution and damages to the environment. All of us should be more careful and try not to harm the nature and cause environment to suffer. Awareness and determination of the common people can only stop the abrupt change in the climate resulting in polution free world and protect the countries from nature's fury.

INDIA WEEPS FOR INDIRA

Indira Gandhi sacrificed her life twentyfive years ago ostensibly due to operation bluestar in the hands of some fanatics. A true visionary leader without whose determination and ability the Bangladesh could not get its independence. Her son Rajib who became the prime minister after her death, he also was assacinated by the terrorists. Indira Gandhi not only sacrificed her life for her country but she also gave it secular shape. She started Green Revolution as a result India is today self sufficient in food. Her able leadership brought prosperity to all walks of life.
The only daughter of Jawaharlal Neheru, Indira Gandhi tried to bring down the number of poors of her country. Rahul, her grandson, now represents the young generation of India and future prime minister of India. Her another son Sanjay died of an accident at very young age.
It is a shame to us that we could not saved her life who had many more things to contribute.
She was killed on this day 31 October 1984.

WE ARE EXTREMELY SORRY INDIRA!

POVERTY, POPULATION AND PEACE

Population increase is a great problem being faced by the humankind at present. Rapid growth of population especially in the third world countries is a big concern and to addressed adequately to contain it. Since the resources of these countries are not sufficent, poverty is seen uncontrolled and in true sense a curse of the mankind. All efforts of the world community are becoming futile. Hence, violence is being happend frequently. Terroism is the bad face of poverty and a result of the steep increase in population. Therefore all of us should try to use our good efforts to extend our coopertion to the under and undeveloped countries as well as find new ways to bring world peace. Peace should not be made pieces but to survive all human beings shall try to achieve it at any cost.

Visva Bharati

It is very unfortunate that unrest of the employees has stalled all academic and administrative work of the university since teachers and some other community of the university have joined them. During last couple of years it has gradually eroded its past glory. A few years ago, news of appointment of a lady with only Higher Secondary degree flooded the media of India and abroad. This time the situation has worsened very much because a large section of the stakeholders has lost their faith on the vice chancellor prof rajat kanto ray. Let's hope for the best with the belief that good sense will prevail upon all.

mohonbagan club yesterday defeated east bengal club with 5 - 3 goals yesterday on 25 october 09. it's a great moral boosting to the mohanbagan supporters. but it is very unfortunate that majority of the players are of foreign origin. this no undenying fact that the bengalis young boys do not show their interest in foot ball presently and also the inadequate playgrounds in and around kolkata is also one of the reasons for the disinterest of the bengali boys.

poliical unrest is growing day by day in west bengal which is a great concern for the well wishers of the west bengal. all sections should show their restrain to contain the violence and killing of common supportes.

today is astami of jagadhatri puja. it is celebrated with much fanfare at chandannagar of west bengal.

peace on earth

we the citizens of the world perhaps shall never become united. countries are becoming intolerate when the interest of it is being disturbed. climate change is another point to be considered with great importance but the leaders are seem reluctant. many many innocent people are being made victims of it with incurable ailments. barring few countries the health care systems are worst which do not support the common people. india is one of them. in india kerala and tamilnadu have done a lot of things in the field of health care. west bengal is perhaps will be in the bottom of the list. we all have to work hard to keep up with the growing imbalance in our lifestyle. for this yoga, meditation, fasting etc. can be very effective.
